Management vs Administration

·       What are the key differences between management and administration? Explain each of them in detail..

Difference by Definition : Management is the act of managing people and their work for achieving an organization’s goal using its resources. When the administration is an organized process of administering the management of an organization.

Extent difference: Management is eating the discharge policies where the Administration is exacting the assurance of primary policies and objectives.

Working Area: Management is a low and mid-ranked function, this means it works for the low, medium and top levels organizational need of an enterprise. And the Administration is a high-ranked function, meaning that it entirely manages the overall management activities and demands of a company proper planning and organizational resources.

Authority: in authority decisions of the Management are controlled by the goals and policies, . Where Administrative decisions are controlled by a common belief and other forces.

By Focusing Area: The Management focuses to implement new ideas through reader history and innovative resources to achieve the organization’s target, on the other hand, the Administration of an organization aims to fulfill all requirements and secure the highest objectivity for their business.

·       Which is better, management or administration? Explain.

Administration and management are both a very significant function of any organization. Without management there is no organization and without administration there is no management, these two are complementary to each other. So for me there is not a concept that is better than the other one, they need each other simultaneously. But I have to say that in the other hand administration sometimes is considered as more important because is the plan that manages the management but there are actually as same as important.

  1. Hi Daniel
Good job, it is very clear and organized so it is easy to understand. About the last question I had the same problem having to choose a better one because they are both important, but at the end I chose management because of its flexibility to change unlike administration where every little change or improval takes a long time and I think currently it is very important because a fast reaction can make a huge difference, specially in profit-maker organizations.

  3. Hello, I agree with you in the last question, that none is better than another because they depend on each other and without these there is no good organization.
